Our online training is held in real time and includes live interaction between participants and instructors who are NewViews Certified Consultants.
You'll save time and money, and enjoy the flexibility of training anywhere, from any computer. Online interactive training is an instructor-led course, viewed on your computer monitor, using high speed internet. You listen to the audio portion of the course via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol - see below) on a headset that connects to your computer or on your computer speakers or via your telephone. You ask questions using a microphone connected to your headset or to your computer, or if you don't have a microphone, by typing a question on your computer.
What is VoIP?
VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol means voice transmission via the Internet. VoIP enables hands-free listening and viewing at the computer without a telephone. The recommended method for listening to the audio portion of the training is with a headset that connects to your computer using a USB port or the microphone and headphone plugs. Headsets cost from $9.99 and up and can be purchased at stores like Future Shop and Staples. If you do not have a headset, you can listen to the audio through your computer speakers.
Prior to the first class, the instructor will arrange a time with each participant to have them link to and view the instructor's computer to experience the VoIP connection.
Registration
Register online by clicking the Register link on the course description page. Payments are accepted with PayPal, Visa or MasterCard.
Within 24 hours of receiving your registration, the instructor will phone you to confirm your registration and to ask you a few questions. If you have not been contacted, please call Randy Walton at 1.800.380.9361.
You will also receive a confirmation email that contains a link to the online training session.
How Training Sessions Work
Five minutes before the training start time, you click on a link provided by the instructor. The link connects you to the online training and allows you to view the instructor's computer screen. Next, you choose an audio conference option on your screen.
Because adults learn by doing, our training includes exercises that allow you to apply the concepts and content discussed during class and to experience using the NewViews NV2 accounting software.
The instructor is also available outside of class time to answer questions relating to the course content and assignments. The instructor monitors each participant to ensure that they succeed in the training.
* All sessions are recorded and are provided to participants to view at their convenience using Windows Media Player. Participants who are unable to attend a session can view the recording.
Cancellation
You may cancel your registration up to 10 business days before the training start date. If you need to cancel within 10 business days of the training start date, a substitute can take your place. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. A $50 non-refundable cancellation fee applies to refunds.
