When I contemplated the process for converting to NV2 and then getting training and in the midst of that somehow keeping up with my workload, I was less than excited. My normal workload is more than enough. Trying to undertake the conversion, training, setup and cleanup etc. was going to be an enormous challenge for me and surely would have taken several weeks or more.
I cannot believe that it has only been one week since I uploaded my NewViews DOS books to you. To upload my books on a Friday, return on Monday, spend an hour with some installation processes and then start training by 10am is an unbelievably convenient conversion. Then after only about 11 hours of training over several days via Live Meeting we know the basics of how to use NV2. We are paying invoices, recording entries, setting up reports and have completed payroll for the end of the month already in NV2. To be able to get training on our own set of books, without having the cost and hassles of travel, hotel, meals and being away from home and the office was amazing. We could dedicate the morning to training and then apply the training in our live books. It also allowed us to stay current with our non-accounting daily tasks as well.
The training itself was extremely helpful. In addition to working in our own books instead of some demo books, you provided us with extremely helpful tips on how we might want to structure our books, reports etc. You were able to anticipate many of our needs and in fact during the conversion you took the time to do some cleanup that saved me time as well. It is helpful to have your knowledge of NVDOS and to share how NV2 can be applied in ways that are entirely relevant to our needs.
