The two day Basics Workshop is designed to get an NV2 user up and running as quickly and easily as possible.  As the name suggests, it covers all introductory topics, including installation, setup, and the core day to day accounting operations.

 

You will learn how to operate NV2, how to navigate windows on a set of books, and how to find data in an instant.

 

Accounting topics covered include how to create reports, create and maintain accounts, enter transactions of various types, print invoices, statements, checks, and more. 

The three day New User Basics Workshop is designed to get a new NewViews user up and running as quickly and easily as possible.  As the name suggests, it covers all introductory topics, including installation, setup, and the core day to day accounting operations.

 

You will learn the core NewViews concepts, document hierarchy, general ledger design, account linking, etc.

 

You will learn how to operate NV2, how to navigate windows on a set of books, and how to find data in an instant.

 

Accounting topics covered include how to create reports, create and maintain accounts, enter transactions of various types, print invoices, statements, checks, and more. 

The one day NV2 Payroll Workshop builds on the Basics Workshop.  Participants will be strongly encouraged to attend a Basics Workshop as a prerequisite.

 

NV1 users* will recognize the same power and flexibility of NV1 payroll but will be pleased by the completely new, streamlined look and feel of NV2 payroll.

 

You will learn how to create and manage employee accounts of any type, process payroll transactions, edit check printing templates, print pay checks, track and remit payroll deductions, and more.

 

(NOTE: Timecard payroll will be discussed if requested.)

*NV1 users will be strongly encouraged to attend a Basics Workshop as a prerequisite. 

The three day Intermediate / Advanced Workshop builds on the Basics Workshop.  Participants will be required to attend a Basics Workshop as a prerequisite.

 

This workshop should be attended by senior bookkeepers/accountants and/or the person who will serve as the NV2 administrator.

 

Topics covered include basic multi-user setup, internal controls, auditing, budgeting, purchase and sales order entry, inventory, project management, bank and credit card reconciliation, customizing printing templates, exploiting Microsoft Excel, importing/exporting, mail merge, safeguarding databases, and more.

 

Take control of your NV2 installation. 

The one day Multi-User Workshop builds on the Basics Workshop.  Participants will be strongly encouraged to attend a Basics Workshop as a prerequisite.

 

Multi-User NV2 is an entirely new, object oriented database technology.  Several important multi-user issues are covered to ensure the maximum use of NV2's features while at the same time guaranteeing a secure computing environment.  You will learn how to install a NV2 Server, offer databases to local workstations on a network, and offer databases to remote workstations over the Internet.

 

Though touched on briefly in the Basics Workshop, security and audits will receive in-depth coverage.  Familiarity with network and Internet concepts would be helpful but is not essential.
